Most of us have favorite Web sites we visit over and over again. Using bookmarks in our web browsers, we can quickly check these sites for updates. Browser Bookmarks, however, are only stored locally on your computer, which means they can’t be accessed from multiple locations. If your computer goes on the fritz, your bookmarks might be lost for good. There are two handy solutions to this problem: Online Bookmarking Services Web sites like delicious.com and google.com/bookmarks store Bookmarks on their servers, giving you access to them anywhere you have an Internet connection. Delicious.com also provides a browser toolbar to make bookmarking with their service just as easy as through your browser. RSS Feeds RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds let you subscribe to a Web site and receive updates every time an update is made. This is great for news sites and blogs, keeping you on top of recent content. To read RSS Feeds, you need an application like Google.com/reader, FeedDemon for Windows, or Shrook for Macs. After you've found an RSS reader, subscribing to Web sites is as easy as clicking the RSS feed in your Web browser's address bar (the little orange or blue icon with the dot and two waves).
